It started with a few smaller ships, but has expanded in recent years with large modern ships with elegant interiors.
All ships have in common the warm welcome for families with children.
The atmosphere on the deck and in the restaurants is pleasant. The animation team has a varied program. Moreover, there are various themed cruises throughout the season.
The quality of food and accommodation is superlative, with Italian cuisine and hospitality playing a major role on board.
All cruise ships have one or more swimming pools, shops, a casino, video cameras, as well as a fitness and beauty center. There are various deck sports options, including volleyball, tennis and golf.
The newer ships which are larger, also have several additional facilities, such as specialty restaurants, Italian, Oriental or American-style bars and lounges, an Irish Pub or cigar club.
For those who want more privacy, the new ships have a "Yacht Club", which includes butler service, private concierge and access to a modern spa.
Among the most popular destinations of the cruise line are the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Caribbean, South America, South Africa, the Red Sea but also cruises around the world.
All meals and snacks between meals are included in the price. You can have breakfast in the morning at the restaurants available in "buffet style", and lunch or dinner in "buffet" or "A La Carte" restaurants. On board MSC Cruises, in addition to international and Italian cuisine, passengers have the opportunity to dine in various other specialty restaurants.
There are several drinks available for free at buffet restaurants where passengers can serve themselves with: plain water, natural fruit juice, tea, coffee, milk, etc. Consumption of other beverages, juices or alcoholic beverages served on board is charged separately.
Smoking on board is only allowed in designated areas.

The company offers special programs for children on board aged between 3 and 13 years, divided into four age categories. Babysitting is available at an additional cost.
The MSC Cruises cruise line does not have adequate medical facilities for birth on board and therefore cannot accept bookings for pregnant ladies who are 24 weeks or older by the end of the cruise. Passengers who are up to 23 weeks pregnant must obtain a medical certificate from a doctor stating that they are fit to travel, taking into account the specific itinerary.
