The Italian cruise line Costa Cruises has invested heavily in recent years in larger cruise ships that meet modern requirements.
For example, on some vessels you will find a multimedia room equipped with the most important technical innovations, a spa center "Samsara Spa" of 2000 m2, theaters with three floors, a Formula 1 simulator, etc.
The ships have various facilities for children being an ideal holiday destination for families.
All meals and snacks between meals are included in the price. You can have breakfast in the morning at the restaurants available in "buffet style", and lunch or dinner in "buffet" or "A La Carte" restaurants. On board MSC Cruises, in addition to international and Italian cuisine, passengers have the opportunity to dine in various other specialty restaurants.
There are several drinks available for free at buffet restaurants where passengers can serve themselves with: plain water, natural fruit juice, tea, coffee, milk, etc. Consumption of other beverages, juices or alcoholic beverages served on board is charged separately.
Smoking on board is only allowed in designated areas.
The official tip or service fee is paid at the end of the cruise, on board the ship and is:

$ 12.5 per person / night for itineraries in the Caribbean with the USA and South America

For children aged between 3 and 17 years, various activities are organized, divided into four age categories. During the school holidays, the entertainment team will organize activities from morning to evening, as follows: from 9:00 to 12:00, from 15:00 to 18:00 and from 21:00 to 23:30. In some cases, a babysitting program can be arranged from 23.30 to 01.30. All listed hours are subject to change. There are also themed dinners for children, with a special menu prepared by the chef. Minimum age of children is 6 months. For transatlantic cruises and cruises longer than 15 days, the minimum age is 12 months.
Unfortunately, women with 6 or less months of pregnancy, are not allowed on board.

During the day, the recommended outfit is casual. The evening can be formal (for ladies dress, skirt or pants with blouse or sweater and for gentlemen, long pants and shirt).
